Yes, why not, if we can have Chennai 600021 and Delhi 6..we can have our very own Hyd 62. The other day i was on my tread machine burning my heart and calories and was watching outside the thick glass shutters onto the AS Rao Nagar main road...

I was amazed..this place has changed so much that it takes someone of my standards of observation, 5 floors of a high rised building to feel the change..the place has changed...it got a facelift at an amazing pace...within no time..this place is now hot and happening...

AS Rao Nagar derives it's name from one Mr. AS Rao, who legend has it .. was very infleuntial in developing the area and was a prominent figure in the ECIL industry in which AS Rao Nagar culminates. The famous EC TV ...which were popular in 60's and 70's were developed by ECIL corporation.

The AS Rao Nagar main road stretches from the point you have this black figure pointing his fingure towards ECIL, taking you to an area that has all it's charm in simplicity and sans any detours.

The stretch has the best of shops, eatouts, chat bahndars, Malls, hospitals, supermarts, juicelets ..the list goes one...you name it, this place has it all..

I call it the Island coz , AS Rao Nagar if not connected with Sainikpuri on the left and Tarnaka on the right..well could have been own it's own....

This stretch, the Main road..which when i see it from the confines of my gym, reminds me of the Marine drive in Mumbai...

Well now let me come to what everyone rummaging thru this post..are thinking..What's in it for me??
